Every morning’s “bad,” but some are much worse than others at random. It seems a congestion builds up overnight creating a breathless panicky state. Indeed, sometimes the inability to breathe causes the awakening. Trying to get up as that takes effort and energy just makes things worse. The doctor thinks part of the problem is not being awake enough, which does fit the picture. What to do about it, since there’s always every morning’s mad dash to the bathroom need, is a big problem.
Saturday was almost a lost day. Wednesday a mess was made in the watering of the plants. It’s often a case of remembering deliberate breathing as that’s interference in thinking about the task at hand but not always. No day was really very good even though no one was scheduled to come by except Lunch Lady and Older Friend yesterday. Helping Lady was seen in passing one afternoon. Young Friend didn’t make it, but he is hoping Wednesday’s a day he can go get March’s rent money orders.
In addition to Young Friend, Avon delivery is due this coming week with the food truck next Monday. The hunt for some help around the place, of course, continues and it’s incredible no one can be found. The “looking” is in what should be “right” places, and the financial “offering” where such should be the expectation is reasonable, that is, unless life and times are being mis-judged. To get it out of the way at least the rent for the month was paid (wireless bill’s still to be done).
Every day should be a treasure.
The great inspection is over. The spot underfoot wasn’t one picked for a check this time. Computer choice is what tells the person where to go. It was a worry since the bathroom’s one place in need of a cleaning. Reviews take place several times a year by different authorities. With that out of the way, there might be more peace for a time. The search for a helper, of course, goes on with no reply yet from the ads or agency-type requests, and no contact from Helping Lady.
The Avon item was shorted. It wasn’t essential. As nothing was delivered, a new order (sometimes it is important needs, but sometimes it’s other stuff) went by email which saves on writing it out. Food truck was due today. The Lunch Lady’s visit brought eggs again. An emergency (of sorts) developed with the possible “great” visit and another agency scheduled visit for Thursday. Evaluations and reviews can make people nervous wrecks. On Friday Older Friend rescued things.
The winter’s about over and there’s been no snow, apart from some few flakes a few times that melted immediately. It’s a scary idea to think it will be a very hot summer. Old folks don’t do well if it is hot. (They don’t necessarily do well even if it isn’t hot. Saturday was typical for that. Light bulb replacement amid the plants from the scooter isn’t very easy, took much effort.) It is also Presidents’ day; what’s been up in the lobby spaces is St. Patrick’s Day stuff.
There is such a thing as being too early.
Young Friend came by on Friday and did a bunch of fundamental and important stuff, mostly errands including getting a phone card, money orders for the rent payments due in March and the mail sitting at the post office, which was more than a week’s mail. He thinks he might be able to come again this month, a possibility, not a certainty. At least those important items are out of mind for a few weeks. Career wishes exist for him and should he leave he’ll be seriously missed hereabouts.
Lunch Lady came as expected. Older Friend also came not only when expected but also additionally. Advocacy Lady sent note saying she could not do much for another two or so weeks. As long as little personal time is used there, it probably won’t matter. No word has come from Helping Lady, and there’s been nothing from the in-house ads. However, other stuff’s in the works. On the bright side, the lady doing the laundry before now is back doing it. The cast is off the arm she broke.
Avon comes this week, and there’s the inspection mentioned in the post two weeks ago. The sick leave notice is expected to land here almost daily as there’s a state of forgetfulness in play that’s downright scary. That may be because of too many details to remember about things recently. A new “check off” list is being created but it’s a confused mess. There’s also been increased tiredness with a need for rest during the day, which may be tied to it. Run, as something is forgotten.
Happy Valentine’s day to everyone.
The week started out more hopeful than usual; an organization that’s hospital based and promising stuff was joined. It may not turn out to be much, but it looks promising. In addition Wednesday fairly early maintenance did some of the stuff they thought they had to do. Thursday they came back and likewise Friday and finally said they were done. Problems, of course, surfaced during the week. One scary concern was that the ATM account couldn’t be viewed online, password change needed.
Thursday was spent cleaning up a mess again, but Avon came as expected and the new pants look good. Lunch Lady brought her kind of eggs again, enough to give some to a neighbor. Older Friend came unexpectedly several times Friday bringing things and Saturday and yesterday as well. Young Friend’s still due this coming Friday. At least the rent payment for March will get arranged if he makes it here. Given that Helping Lady is still not able to do a lot, ads were posted for more help.
The trip to the office today was of great importance: during his visit yesterday Older Friend was asked to check the locks securing the windows. A window thought locked wasn’t as that lock was broken. The food truck was a bit late and was short two items. The substitutions aren’t that great. Laundry did get done and just in time, too. Advocacy Lady did not get in touch yet as of this afternoon, but she is not expected for a couple of more days. Blog postings were down to the wire.
Last minute stuff can cause panic.
