Monthly Archives: September 2011

Synopsis 3

A week into September is a week further into a condensing. In fact, it’s a little more than a week into September as composition begins here, it being near to 3:00 a.m. on September 8, 2011.  The “tale” was left “last issue” with stuff still to do, with supplies obtained but in need of lasting and a sad physical shape.  That was as of August 25, 2011. Upcoming next day was a trip to the office to review the cost of the space underfoot in the days ahead.  A bunch of papers to review and sign had one flaw, one wrong paper.  It’s unfinished.

The next day (Saturday) there was an impossible dream, a state of managing to get up and walk around; yours truly sat in all day. One practical thing was done – a message board was bid goodbye. The reason for being there dwindled to nothing with Rick gone, while a number of antagonistic people frequented the place and promised revision of the system had been dragging for months.  It’s not been any kind of a need and was arrived at because a local board (that of the cable company) was closed to non-subscribers.

Sunday, the 28th is pretty much a blank – every opportunity to get some sleep is important and a lot of the day was so spent.  There was no attempt at notes – possibly the scooter was re-charged.  A stop by the friendly visitor (Bill) did take place.  As expected, more or less, on Monday the homemaker aide came and on Tuesday the agency assessment took place. There’s a little bit left to be done in regard to stuff in the office; but, otherwise all the rest of the world wants are presumed out of the way for a few weeks anyway.

A condensation is not the real thing.

Synopsis 2

So, anyway on August 31, 2011, this was left with Rick dying and a bunch of stuff coming up, apart from yours truly not doing very well (and still not doing very well on September 4). A food truck (not the regular man) did come that Monday as did the homemaker aide as anticipated.  She did did manage to get everything cleaned up.  So, amid making room in the freezer for the food and packing trash to be carried out, in mind there was coming inspection and an agency appointment time. (The obituary wasn’t found until Tuesday.)

The appointment was re-set for the next Tuesday (the 30th).  And, on the 23rd, hearing noises in the hallway, the door was opened to see what was happening.  The inspection team walked right by. As Rick had not been heard from for a couple of weeks, hunch lead to checking the obituaries. (That was the same day the earthquake hit the east coast.)  The obituary needed posting on a message board as it definitely was not expected so soon.  There was experimental treatment in progress.  The errands lady was called, too.

Wednesday, there finally were shades of peace for the moment. No lobby trip was attempted.  A grocery list was needed immediately, the scooter needed re-charging and the friendly visitor was due to be stopping by.  There was news on Thursday from Virginia.  Over Labor Day weekend the family was scheduled to leave for Georgia. She could go shopping again in three days or ten days.  And, more important, her car was beyond repair.  With the homemaker aide on Monday and the agency on Tuesday. no errands for ten days.

There are times to start all over.
