Lunch At Four….

Something absolutely has to be done about the lunch hours so late in the day they’re essentially in the early evening.  It was almost so again today.  The question is what can be done about it?  Any night that’s restless – last night was – results in a sort of overhung status in the morning.  Even if breakfast were consumed at something like 8:30 a.m. instead of 10:30 a.m., lunch at 11:30 a.m. is still early for lunch since in “real” time (Standard Time) that’s only late mid-morning. About 12:00 p.m. is out due to the daily trip downstairs.

The daily trip to the lobby and outside, on the basis of routine, can vary a little; but, going too early is going to miss new bulletin board stuff. It seems that people run to put up things in the morning, but not “for” the morning.  It’s like before the mail carrier arrives.  That way everyone has a chance to see the whatever as they go get their mail. As for going down later, well, there’s no “heat of the day” yet, except for the day it was 85 degrees, but it will come soon enough and there’s already excessive heat of the day in the apartment.

If lunch is at 4:00 p.m., good sense says have dinner near 10:00 p.m. or even later.  And, if breakfast is at 10:30 a.m., lunch late in the afternoon makes sense. It’s a weird happening considering it’s without sound reason. However, there’s no getting up at, say, 6:00 a.m. – even during working days that had office hours eight to five there was no getting up before 7:00 a.m.  (The job was hated.)  It is a world that is utterly unsystematic at the moment.  It’s just that things do fall repeatedly into said unusual pattern too often.

Disorganization achieves little.
