So, It’s A Saturday

Saturday would seem to be a good day for a personal assessment of things. Once they were work days, and once they were genuine leisure days.  Now they are days when all the known “interruptions” are over with for at least twenty-four hours.   It was an idiotic idea. There was no any such thing.  And, there’s no idea where the day went. It was not spent plodding around without the scooter as that got re-charged yesterday.  It was not spent on anything like sitting outside (too cold and no one much there).

At 5:00 p.m. there were three spent cigarettes in the ashtray – it’s makeshift aluminum foil, but it’s still called an ashtray.  There was also one outside making it a total of four all day.  The time was not spent just sitting.  At 4:30 p.m. a ham sandwich was made as the only thing approaching food anytime after breakfast was a handful of potato chips scraped along some cream cheese. At about 11:30 a.m. a nap was tried; but, it only lasted fifteen minutes when there was a need to get up.  It wasn’t restful anyway.

One known place where the time drifted away was trying to get to some things online. Maybe forty-five minutes were spent fishing for the likes of the local news on the cell phone.  With what yours truly knows about cell phone access to the internet, most often it isn’t at all possible to get beyond the headlines.  There was a big bunch of effort with the computer as well.  Even an anti-virus update didn’t get through automatically.  Trying to figure out what to do in given situations can be exhausting, especially if one doesn’t know much.

Lottery winners are one out of millions.
