It seems like the clock said about 2:30 a.m. when the “awakening” happened, possibly because the air bed deflated enough to sense it. It wasn’t all flat. It was just flat where there was something on it. So, do something. Well, it took almost six hours before yours truly got sleepy enough to try again, the problem that be being that the awake part wasn’t awake enough to do something useful. This was not good. The rent was due to be paid, and one thing to do a day is enough; but, the food truck was due plus the government stuff.
The alarm dutifully made noise at 9:00 a.m. and got shut off. The trip to the lobby took place at more than an hour earlier than usual for the rent (otherwise it would have been skipped). The order for food truck was several dollars over the usual, but the brain wasn’t functioning enough to be adjusting the order fifteen minutes before the man could arrive. The computer was functioning worse, like it abruptly shut down even at the elevators. There may come a day when the weblog entries may not get posted if things continue.
Once the food was out of the way, the rest of the day could be for finding more than a year’s worth of papers still in the mail stuffed almost any old place. But, there had to be some rest – except for the two hours, there had been no sleep since about 2:30 a.m. As the air bed didn’t seem to be holding up, although the hole still is not found, the old one was pulled out. It had to be tested anyway. All the papers for the government did get found. And, at least by 9:00 p.m. more had been eaten than three slices of cheese….
Old people get tired easily.
