Pivotal Day

The first thing really noticed about the day was that it was getting dark at 7:30 p.m. or so already.  Yes, it’s time for darker autumn evenings, a little something expected but not noticed until a couple of hours ago.  And, the time will be changed soon and darkness is at 6:00 p.m.  It was noticed because there was intention of making the outside trip after 5:00 p.m. today due to the potential visitors.  The company with the food truck had a set time but the other was just anytime before 5:00 p.m.  Then it felt too late to go out.

It wasn’t certain if the telephone message to the company with the food truck got it straight.  They did.  He came almost at the exact time expected, and yours truly is now the happy owner of some little sausages, french toast sticks, cheeseburgers, and biscuits. It is not certain how good they all are, but not one of those things is ordinarily gotten at the supermarket.  Even adequate is something different.  What has been tried has been okay – not spectacular or any such thing, but okay. A new direction is established.

As for the other “visitor,” happily, any “visiting” was done at other apartments, not that there’s that much trouble in it.  It’s just that theoretically such people might come anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., although they’d likely not show up at either end of the time frame.  It’s a matter of they could, so, there’s no leisurely getting up at 9;00 a.m. or afternoon nap, or run to the bathroom whenever.  It also meant there was no noontime trip to the outside world today.  The window was opened and that was it.

Every day ends somehow.
